In 2012, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Tamasee DAR School initiated work on a golf tournament to raise funds for the school. The Walhalla Chapter, NSDAR, created a committee to establish this tournament which was held in 2013. The tournament has successfully continued since then. The Nathanael Greene Chapter, NSDAR, joined as a co-host in 2016 and the Fort Prince George Chapter, NSDAR, joined as a co-host in 2020.
