A 9/11 memorial site was dedicated in Walhalla on September 11, 2021. The site contains a piece of steel from the World Trade Center remains, two pieces of concrete from the destroyed section of the Pentagon, and soil from the field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania where Flight 93 crashed.
